How To Apply for an Occupation Certificate with MultiCert
Step 1: Final Inspections
After construction or renovation, a Multicert inspector will conduct a final inspection of your property. This inspection ensures that the building complies with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and council requirements.
Step 2: Documentation Submission
You’ll need to submit all relevant documents required for the application. These may include:
The final building plans.
Compliance certificates for specific trades or works.
Inspection reports from various stages of the construction process.
Step 3: Complete the Application Form
Fill out the Occupation Certificate application form. This form can be obtained directly from Multicert or your local council. Once completed, submit the form along with all required documents.
Step 4: Submit the Application
Submit your completed application to Multicert. We will review the documentation, verify compliance, and schedule any additional inspections if needed. Once everything is in order, Multicert will issue your Occupation Certificate, allowing you to legally occupy the building.
